This project is part of an ongoing series comprising pieces of jewelry, photography, objects and video. My intent is to explore concepts and relations between jewelry, the human body, and beyond.

We wear and give pieces of jewelry to commemorate important life events, loved ones, achievements, and we do it with pride. At the same time we hide our bodies' marks of achievement, the traces our living history has impressed upon us, we deem it not worthy of proudly showing off that we have lived a full life.

SKINDEEP is an attempt at challenging these notions, an experiment to investigate the thought that it could be our body itself that is adornment. It seeks to encourage people to wear their little "faults" and deviations like a badge of honor, a medal.
